The result was extremely gratifying, as our services were ranked among the top hospitals in Connecticut and the country. Charlotte received only three improvement comments out of 260 safety and quality standards reviewed, and successfully addressed all seven national safety goals developed by the Joint Commission.

Litchfield County... A Welcoming Place Located in Connecticut's northwest hills, Litchfield County is part of one of the most desirable places to live in the United States. Born out of wide expanses of farmland still in evidence today, our area is protected by land trusts, individuals, and organizations that value an environment where trees, open spaces, and hills far outnumber our population. It is a great place to live, work, and play. To raise a family. To become part of your community. To be valued as an individual and respected as part of an outstanding healthcare system. Picturesque Litchfield County boasts brilliant summers, blazing falls, snow-filled winters, and welcomed springs. The area offers stone fences, white steeples, rolling hills, cold streams, covered bridges, and tree-lined streets. Historically, the towns of Washington, Litchfield, Norfolk, Cornwall, Sharon, Lakeville, Salisbury, and Canaan grew out of summer homes and farming, while Winsted and Torrington offer a more industrial base. All boast school systems and local governments intent on serving the changing needs of their residents.
CHH is located in Torrington, the largest community in Litchfield County. Torrington, now in the midst of tremendous redevelopment initiatives, is surrounded by a mix of small towns, villages, and hamlets ... each unique ... each enjoyable. CHH is proud of our work and our healthcare contributions to all of our communities. We are a great place to work, learn, and grow, and we hope you will consider joining our team when it is time. You will love this part of the country.
