The Center For Professional Development and Education provides a learning environment of quality educational activities that fosters competence and nurtures motivation, teamwork, and empowerment. Services provided to caregivers include annual needs assessments, educational activities based on current research, and the development of on-going, collaborative relationships that enhance professional development. The Center uses "SimMan", a portable, state-of-the-art patient simulator, to teach a number of life-saving techniques, medical procedures, and clinical skills without the risk to live patients. Courses are also offered to the public.
