The CHH Volunteer Program consists of adults and teenagers who volunteer their time and expertise on a regular basis in thirty Hospital departments and areas including patient transport and information services. One popular program is Tender Loving Care patient comfort program which trains volunteers to provide patients with gentle hand and foot rubs during their hospital stay.

To participate in the program, CHH volunteers undergo a six-hour training and education program on how to give comfort rubs and develop quality patient communication and listening skills.
