“We are so pleased that this equipment will make patients more comfortable and facilitate clinician access to patients while they undergo chemo infusions and other procedures.” said Torrington Elks Exaulted Ruler Richard Slevinsky. He and Leading Knight Scott Carlson stopped by CHH representing the Elks to lend their support and meet the staff who are utilizing the new chair.

This new 500-pound capacity chair is deeper and wider than current chairs of its kind, and is used with patients undergoing long infusions of chemotherapy who sit for extended periods. It has a fold-away side table, retractable foot tray, and swing out arms for easier patient transfers. It can also be used by physicians are nurses to conduct procedures because of its size and versatility.

“We cannot thank our friends at the Elks enough for providing us with this state-of-the-art chair. Our patients will truly benefit.” said Sean Savoye, R.N., Director of the CHH Ambulatory Surgery Unit.
