(Torrington, CT) The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Auxiliary is displaying the landscape and nature photography of Rick Popham through early October 2014 in the hospital’s main lobby hallway, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington. The public is invited to view the photographs during regular visiting hours as part of the Auxiliary’s ongoing “Artist of the Month” program. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the works support the CHH Auxiliary and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
Rick Popham has been happily photographing New England, particularly Northwest Connecticut, for many years. Most of the images in this current exhibit are from Litchfield County with some in Berkshire County, MA, and other New England states. Rick has previously exhibited his works at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, the University of Connecticut, Berkshire Medical Center, and the Tolland green Arts Center in Tolland, CT.
The Auxiliary’s “Artist of the Month” program has been featuring paintings, photographs, and artwork each month from local artists for over 25 years. Their over 200 member supporters assist in raising money for the hospital through dues, donations, volunteering at the gift shop, and a variety of events including an annual fall fashion show and luncheon.
