(Torrington, CT) – The Board of Governors of Charlotte Hungerford Hospital has recently welcomed Debra Brandt, D.O. and Jeff Borghesi to serve two-year terms on the Board.

Jeff Borghesi is President of Borghesi Building and Engineering Co. Inc., a general contractor specializing in design and building projects. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Northwest YMCA, a member of the Torrington Country Club, the Torrington Elks Lodge, and the Union Savings Bank advisory board. Jeff was the past Chairman of Butler Manufacturing National Builders Council. He is a volunteer for many local organizations, and has helped develop and organize football, soccer, and baseball fields throughout Torrington. Jeff and his wife, Susan, reside in Torrington and have two children.
Dr. Brandt is an medical oncologist and hematologist with the Yale University she practices at the Smilow Cancer Care Torrington located at the CHH Center For Cancer Care, 200 Kennedy Drive, Torrington. Dr. Brandt attended Brandeis University, Waltham , MA, and then Des Moines University Medical School, Des Moines, IA. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY, and UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. She completed her Medical Oncology and Hematology fellowship at Yale University, New Haven, CT. Dr. Brandt is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology. In addition to caring for her patients at the Center for Cancer Care in Torrington she serves as a clinical investigator for many clinical research trials for patients with cancer and blood disorders.
