(Torrington, CT) – Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Auxiliary is displaying the photographs of Al Erickson through early July 2015 in the Hospital’s main floor hallway, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington. The public is invited to view the works during regular visiting hours as part of the Auxiliary’s ongoing “Artist of the Month” program. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the artwork support the CHH Auxiliary and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
The photographs on display at CHH have been taken since Erickson’s last showing at the Hospital in September of 2013. The prints on display are of birds from around the country. The name of the bird and the location of each photograph is indicated on the back of every print.
Erickson said. “I sincerely hope that the public enjoys the exhibit. I encourage every to get out and enjoy the many peaceful and inviting places to walk both here in Connecticut, as well as the many beautiful locations across this country.”
The Auxiliary’s “Artist of the Month” program has been featuring paintings, photographs, and artwork each month from local artists for over 25 years. Their over 200 member supporters assist in raising money for the hospital through dues, donations, volunteering at the gift shop, and a variety of events including an annual fall fashion show and luncheon.
