CHH April Artist of the Month on Display

CHH Photo(Torrington, CT) – The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Auxiliary is displaying the photography

of Crystal Begleiter now through early May 2016 in the hospital’s main lobby hallway, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington. The public is invited to view the works during regular visiting hours as part of the Auxiliary’s ongoing “Artist of the Month” program. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the artwork support the CHH Auxiliary and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Crystal’s love for photography developed over many years. After college, she worked at the corporate office of a large company that owned several chains of retail stores. She worked in the marketing department and quickly became interested in the artistic aspect of arranging the photographs to look appealing to potential buyers. It was then that she decided to pursue an education in photography.

In recent years, she has been showing and selling her work in several towns in northwest Connecticut including Torrington, Simsbury, Canton, Collinsville, New Hartford, and West Hartford. She has been published several times, most recently on the cover of an international magazine, The Sundial.

The Auxiliary’s “Artist of the Month” program has been featuring paintings, photographs, and artwork each month from local artists for over 25 years. Their over 200 member supporters assist in raising money for the hospital through dues, donations, volunteering at the gift shop, and a variety of events including an annual fall fashion show and luncheon.
