(Torrington, CT) –“How can we help you with your recovery today?” Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program will be sponsoring a FREE presentation Wednesday, May 11th, at 1 p.m. at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Memorial Conference Room, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington. Ken Aligata will speak on behalf of Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) services and the resources it offers the Torrington community.
The CCAR event is for both health professionals as well as people in the local community who may be dealing with mental health issues and seeking more information and resources for recovery from addiction. The organization provides a support system of caring individuals who help by providing resources to individuals and for the community through their Recovery Community Centers such as peer-to-peer support and sponsored events that focus on a variety of pathways to the barriers of recovery. CCAR’s foundational principles are based on recovery potential through advocacy, education and service.
