(Torrington, CT) – The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Auxiliary is featuring the artwork of Erik Petrosky now through early July 2016 in the hospital’s main lobby hallway, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington. The public is invited to view and buy the works during regular visiting hours as part of the Auxiliary’s ongoing “Artist of the Month” program. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the artwork support the CHH Auxiliary and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
Erik is a 15 year old artist from Burlington, CT. Two years ago, he was artist of the month at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and has included two spray paint pieces he did for the 2014 show. His current works are acrylics on canvas, using airbrushes and conventional paint brushes. In addition to painting, he has also designed corporate logos, websites, product brochures, and trade show displays.
“Being homeschooled, I have had the opportunity to travel to many cities and beaches and create art inspired by the beautiful places I have visited and the incredible people I have met. I’m very excited to share the experiences with you through my paintings.” said Erik Petrosky.
The Auxiliary’s “Artist of the Month” program has been featuring paintings, photographs, and artwork each month from local artists for over 25 years. Their over 200 member supporters assist in raising money for the hospital through dues, donations, volunteering at the gift shop, and a variety of events including an annual fall fashion show and luncheon.
