CHH Introduces New Diabetic Foot Center

The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Multi-Specialty Group has added a new Diabetic Foot Center to its roster of physician practices and services headed up by CHH Podiatric Surgeons Dennis D’ Onofrio, DPM, FACFAS, and Darren Winkler, DPM.

The service provides effective, timely diagnosis and treatment of foot wounds for diabetic patients. It is located at the hospital’s newly renovated Turner Coe Building, connected to the Main Tower Building at 540 Litchfield Torrington with parking behind the Memorial Building.

Dennis D’Onofrio, DPM, FACFAS, joined CHH in 1990. He attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and served his Residency and Internship at V.A. Medical Center, West Haven. He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is also a certified Wound Specialist Physician. Darren Winkler, DPM, joined the CHH medical staff in 2010. He attended Medical School at New York College of Podiatric Medicine and did his Residency and Internship at St. Barnabas Hospital He is Board Eligible for the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
