Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is presenting “Heart, Body and Soul”, a new free three-part series highlighting tips and information from local physicians and experts on healthy mindful living for women. Each evening will be an educational and engaging event of presentations, discussion, light healthy food, door prizes and more!
“This free series was designed to address important health issues facing women and to provide meaningful resources in an enjoyable setting. We hope women invite a friend or family member and attend all three sessions as each will be unique.” said Jenna Haley MS, ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, Clinical Coordinator Cardiac Rehab & Cardiodiagnostics at CHH.
Series dates and topics include:
Monday, March 12th – “Heart Smart” presented by Michael Fowler, MD.
Monday, March 26th – “Healthy Body, Happy Heart” presented by Jenna Hayley, MS and Carla Angevine, RD.
Monday, April 9th – “Why Worry? An introduction to Mindfulness Practices” presented by Sheila Sorenson
All three talks in the series will be held at the Litchfield Community Center, 421 Bantam Road, Litchfield, CT, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Talks will be introduced by Dr. Stephanie Fowler, member of the Hartford HealthCare Northwest Region Board of Directors. Support for the series was provided by the members of Torrington Country Club.
