Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Cardiac Rehabilitation Program recently accepted a $500 donation from Torrington Municipal and Teachers Federal Credit Union be used to support services and equipment that help combat heart disease.
Torrington Municipal and Teachers Federal Credit Union Loan Manager Beth Mazza and Marketing Assistant Shaun Zbell recently stopped by Torrington’s Cardiac Rehab Center to present the check to meet the staff and view firsthand the center’s offerings.
“We are so thankful that our friends at the Torrington Municipal and Teachers Federal Credit Union recognize the importance of heart health awareness in women and all people affected by heart disease. these generous funds will be used to support patient and community education and offset the cost of new exercise equipment such as our recumbent bikes.” said Jenna Haley MS, Coordinator at CHH Cardiodiagnostics.

Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation program is a comprehensive program of exercise, education and support that helps patients make important lifestyle changes, improve their quality of life, and help them and their family learn to live without worry about cardiac disease. The cardiac rehabilitation program is designed for people who are at high risk for coronary artery disease, have had a heart attack, coronary artery by-pass surgery, angioplasty, stent, valve repair/replacement or other forms of heart disease.
