Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Diabetic Foot Center is expanding its services and incorporating the Podiatry practice Northwest Foot Specialists into its hospital based location beginning in early June.
Podiatrists Dennis D’ Onofrio, DPM, FACFAS, and Benish Ali, DPM, have relocated to the Foot Center at 540 Litchfield Street from their previous Peck Road location and are now part of the CHH Multi-Specialty Group of outpatient service providers.

Now known as the CHH Foot Center, the expanded service will offer assistance to help patients maintain healthy feet and provide effective, timely diagnosis of foot related medical issues. These may include Achilles Tendon, ankle instability and sprains, arthritic foot and ankle care, athletes foot, bunions, calluses, corns, hammertoes, heel spurs, and ingrown toenails. The Center also assists with crush injuries, diabetic foot wounds, flat feet, plantar fasciitis, neuromas, and overall geriatric foot care.
Dennis D’Onofrio, DPM, FACFAS, joined CHH in 1990, and through his practice has been working with patients to provide the best podiatric care for patients in the Litchfield County area. He attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and served his Residency and Internship at V.A. Medical Center, West Haven. He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is also a certified Wound Specialist Physician. Benish Ali, DPM, has been affiliated with CHH and the practice since 2017. She attended New York College Of Podiatric Medicine, New York City, NY, and did her Residency in Podiatric Surgery at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford, CT. Dr. Ali is Board Qualified with The American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

The Center is located in the hospital’s newly renovated Turner Coe Building, connected to the Main Tower Building at 540 Litchfield Torrington with parking and an entrance behind the Memorial Building. Office hours have been expanded to Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
